Within the Vice-rectorate for Partnerships and International Relations, the International Relations Team Coordinator for Mobility ensures the distribution of work and priorities of the team's work as well as their own contribution to welcome incoming students and oversee the outgoing mobility. He or she reports to the International Relations Office Team Leader. Responsibilities encompass providing support and feedback to the University management on mobility issues and reporting on this matter, discussing and collaborating directly with internal departments involved in the student journey and their academic pathway, and establishing and maintaining good relationships with the European Commission (Erasmus +) and national agency bodies.
Your role
In line with the IRO strategy and priorities, you will oversee and coordinate the efforts of the team responsible for incoming and outgoing mobility of students and staff.
Activities:
- Prepare application and reporting for Erasmus + Learning Mobility of Individuals programmes and monitor the best allocation of the block grant
- Promote balanced student flows with signed prestigious international partners and facilitate the welcoming of incoming students
- Promote student mobility at Master and PhD level
- Manage several programmes and their associated budgets, and if necessary make proposals for improvement and implement them once approved
- Oversee and support Erasmus+ Cooperation and Jean Monnet applications as well as reporting of financed projects
- Participate in University-wide initiatives to raise the attractiveness of the University’s mobility and scholarships programmes
- Collaborate within the IRO team for the smooth operation of daily activities
- Participate in the regular exchanges of the IRO team with the three faculties and the relevant central services to ensure a dynamic student mobility
- Draft briefings in preparation of international visits and international missions to and from the University of Luxembourg
Your profile
- Leadership, ability to coordinate a group of people, maintain a responsible attitude and distribute tasks collegially
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent through work experience in a field relevant to the position
- 4+ years of professional experience in international collaboration
- Knowledge of the Luxembourg higher education and research sector is considered an asset
- Experience in the internationalisation of higher education frameworks such as student mobility, student exchanges, joint academic initiatives is considered an asset
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) and a good understanding of French. Knowledge of German and/or Luxembourgish are considered an asset
- Team-oriented, diplomatic and able to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
- Builds strong relationships and navigates effectively with various stakeholders (both internal and external stakeholders, including funders, students, embassies, ministries, senior management…)
- Takes initiative in problem-solving discussions, offers solutions and works effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals
- Articulate and Influential: Communicate your ability to express ideas persuasively and make a positive impact
- The position may involve international travel
