About the FSTM

The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) at the University of Luxembourg contributes multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences and Medicine.

Your role
As a pivotal member of the FSTM team, the Project Manager will be entrusted with a diverse range of responsibilities that are crucial to the management and strategic development of our facilities and infrastructure. Your role will encompass the following key areas:
Infrastructure/Facilities Projects Management
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all building, infrastructure, and interior refurbishment projects
- Gather and document specifications for new professors and research projects, focusing on office space and laboratory requirements
- Develop comprehensive project charters for all new initiatives, with a special emphasis on laboratory setups
- Liaise with central services to channel project requests and supervise all aspects of project management, including budgeting, planning, and execution, ensuring they meet FSTM's standards.
- Coordinate the design, planning, and execution of new building projects at the FSTM level
- Oversee renovations and upgrades to enhance our existing facilities
Space Allocation
- Resolve space allocation challenges, including offices, labs, and storage
- Oversee headcount management, space planning, and occupancy tracking for FSTM
- Perform ongoing space inventory assessments and anticipate future space requirements
Strategy and Sustainability
- Work closely with the Head of Administration (HoA) and the Dean's office to align infrastructure strategies
- Champion sustainability efforts by managing donations, waste disposal, and space clearance in partnership with the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO)
Your profile
- A master's or equivalent in one of the scientific disciplines of the University
- A proven track record in project management
- Ability to coordinate and support teams, build trust and develop know-how.
- Team-oriented and comfortable with internationality & multidisciplinary
- Excellent command of English and fluency in French.
- Open-minded, proactive, able to multi-task and flexible
- Welcoming and service-oriented attitude
