Your role
The communications officer will join the Central Communication Team, which is part of the Rectorate. The job holder will primarily focus on the organization of the University events thorough the year and will support the Communication Team general activities depending on priorities set by the Head of Communication.
Under the supervision of the event manager, the Communication Officer will:
- Plan, execute and monitor University-wide public or internal events
- Search for suitable venues, make room reservations
- Calculate budgets and exchange with suppliers
- Ensure logistical and organizational aspects of the events
- Brief and coordinate student helpers
- Promote events by preparing communication material (e.g. invitations), editing printed material and setting up online registration pages
- Handle dedicated events inbox as well as participants registration
- Write minutes of major meetings
- Organise debriefing of events and run feedback surveys
- Maintain a sound coordination between the University and its entities, suppliers and partners
- Assure the smooth running of the events on the event day
- Set up and maintain databases and checklists
Your profile
- Bachelor degree or equivalent by experience, with first professional experience in the domain
- Business fluent in English and fluent in French and/or German (written and spoken)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills with ability to prioritise competing demands
